GFI is monitoring the United States’ discussions and actions regarding tariffs, and the planned July 9th enaction of the “Reciprocal Tariffs” above the 10% baseline. Since the “Reciprocal Tariff” values have been known globally since April 2, 2025, and GFI’s regular cost change window for August 4, 2025 effective date was open, we will not have a separate “Tariff Increase” cost change submission. We are not accepting additional August 4, 2025 (or earlier) cost changes.
Cost Change Acceptance Policy Reminder
GFI maintains our existing policy regarding customer acceptance of GFI approved cost changes, published in our Supplier Policies & Guidelines since 2020.
If GFI customer(s) refuse to accept the Supplier’s submitted cost change, Supplier shall determine whether they will (a) rescind the cost change, (b) provide a charge back (deviated pricing) to cover the cost difference for the customer(s), or (c) discontinue distribution of their product to the customer(s) – Page 13, Supplier Policies & Guidelines.
We have already received pushback from customers about the prior tariff-related cost increases. If customers refuse future cost changes, we will strive to work together with you and our customer(s) to come to a cost structure or change Effective Date tenable to all parties. We are grateful for your ongoing partnership, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate these evolving circumstances together.
